Dorte Bladt teaches best practice chiropractic care for children
Mum, Chiropractor, Educator, Author, International Speaker and specialist in chiropractic care for children

Dorte Bladt is the founder of Switched-on Kids. Throughout her career as a chiropractor, Dorte has loved providing gentle chiropractic care for children and babies. However, it was out of personal experience with her daughter that she developed a passion for helping children with neuro-developmental problems..

She currently runs a busy family practice in Newcastle, Australia, where she mainly provides chiropractic care for children. She has a special interest in children with learning, attention, coordination and behavioural problems and is fascinated by the potential of retained primitive reflexes in these kids. Collaboration with other professionals is important for Dorte Bladt to ensure best long-term outcomes for each child.

Dorte Bladt has been teaching the Switched-on Kids program to chiropractors nationally and internationally since 2006 and with the release of the e-learning SOK program, you can now also learn chiropractic online.  In 2016 Dorte Bladt published a book providing the SOK tools and information to help parents help their children.

Dorte Bladt feels very strongly about the science and research concerning child health and development. In 2015 she started an international fundraising event called The Kids’ Summit. The purpose of The Kids’ Summit is to raise funds for research into chiropractic care for children while educating chiropractors in all aspects of children’s’ health and function. This is a very successful annual event which has raised over $200,000 for research into chiropractic care for children so far.

My passion is to help children function as well as they can – to be as healthy and happy as possible.
